Thurston County is found on the western part of Washington state and at the end of the southern end of Puget Sound. It is the 8th smallest county in the state with a population of 262,000 residents. The largest city is the capitol, Olympia. The county is often called the “South Sound.” Thurston is located to close to the Cascade Mountains & Mount Rainier to the east and the Pacific Coast to the west.
